How much does wedding photography cost?

OK, let’s deal with the elephant in the room here. Weddings can be expensive, but that shouldn’t be ‘new’ news to anyone reading this.

They’re a pretty big deal. There’s often a lot of friends and family that want to attend, and of course, while they’re there, they do like to eat and drink a fair bit. But here’s the interesting point: in the scale of things, wedding photography is not actually expensive. Or put another way, it certainly isn’t expensive here at Mike Lister Photography.

But if we want to be upfront and transparent, then we think it’s important to give you an idea of price before we go any further. Our prices start at £500 and go up to whatever you want to spend. But when it comes to wedding photography, you should never fall into the trap of thinking that a relatively low price means a lesser service. In fact, the majority of weddings that we covered last year were based on our starting price alone.

For that price, the result will be an amazing set of images that capture your very special day. We’ll work with you in advance to find out what you want, and we’ll make sure that we get that on the day itself. We’ll work around all the arrangements that you have in place, and we’ll even blend in as if we were a guest ourselves. In some instances, you won’t even know we’re there.

We’ve heard stories of some photographers turning up in jeans and trainers and even missing some important shots just because they’ve had a couple of drinks at the bar. That shouldn’t be happening at any wedding whatsoever, and it most definitely never happens when we’re involved at Mike Lister Photography.
