Yasmin & Adam’s Beautiful September Wedding at The Fox & Hounds Country Hotel

There’s something special about closing the wedding season on a high note—and Yasmin and Adam’s day was exactly that. Held on 19th September 2026 at the Fox & Hounds Country Hotel in Chulmleigh, it was the perfect farewell to an incredible year of weddings. After meeting them more than two years ago at the Westpoint Wedding Show, their excitement had been building for a long time, and you could feel it the moment the day began.

Morning Buzz in the Bridal Suite

The Fox & Hounds has a cosy, elegant charm, and on the morning of the wedding, the bridal suite was alive with the kind of energy you can’t stage. They’d been up since 6am—hair, makeup, laughter—and that nervous excitement we all love to see at the start of a wedding day.

The hotel’s stunning bridal suite, featuring its four-poster bed and generous natural light, gave us the perfect backdrop for those intimate pre-ceremony moments.

Planning Around the Weather

September in Devon is always a gamble, and while the skies opened a little, working closely with Tom, the brilliant event coordinator at the venue, we managed to keep the ceremony outdoors. It was worth it. The flower-and-voile dressed garden gazebo—newly installed in 2023—set the stage, offering guests 360-degree views of the ceremony framed by lush greenery.

The Ceremony: Tears and Genuine Smiles

As Yasmin made her entrance, there wasn’t a dry eye among the bridesmaids. That’s the beauty of weddings like this—the raw emotion, laughter through tears, and the moments that slip by in seconds but live forever in photographs.

And yes, confetti everywhere—because no garden wedding in Devon is complete without that joyful, wind-tossed moment of celebration.

A Feast and Heartfelt Words

After the vows, we moved into the hotel’s bright terraced function room for the wedding breakfast. Yasmin and Adam had opted for a carvery-style meal—warm, hearty, and very Devon. For me, the day wrapped up just after the speeches, which offered the perfect mix of humour and heartfelt emotion.
