The reason it’s so good for wedding days is that it allows people to remember the whole day and not just one moment of it. Let’s be honest, there’s much more to a wedding day than just ‘I do’.
If you go back fifty or sixty years, the role of a wedding photographer was fairly simple. You were expected to turn up at the church or registry office and then get a group picture as everyone left for the reception at the local pub. But things have changed over the years, and we think they’ve definitely changed for the better.
Back then, people didn’t really spend that much money on getting married. Weddings weren’t the big celebrations or occasions that they are today. When you put all that effort in, doesn’t it make sense to ask the photographer to capture as much of it as possible? Of course, it does, and that’s where reportage wedding photography comes in.
